What a day...

Still in Hongkong I am... Woke up this morning seeing rain pouring outside my window and dark black clouds covering the whole sky. "Hmm... what to do today Joe?" I ask myself. Not long after, the phone rang.. 'Kring Kring...' It was one of my crew asking whether I'm going out or not and that she wanted to join me if I do.
"Where do you want to go?" I asked.
"The factory outlets.. I heard things there are cheap.. Adidas, Nike etc. shoes and stuff. Maybe you could take me there as I'm not so used to the place (as if I am.. daaa~)" she replied.
Hmm.. thinking that outside is raining and going to the factory outlets might drag me the whole day as I've got plans of my own too. I told her sorry, I'm not going as I'm not feeling well. "I've got the fever".. Fever as in Kylie's song I was referring to at the back of my head... hehe. (My previous post)
Hang out in the room until 12 noon before I went out to grab something to eat. Had Popeyes Cajun Chicken.. Okaylah.. isi perut punya pasal. After that, off I go to take the Airport Express to the city. Outside is still raining.
Took the ferry across the Victoria Harbour.. cost me HK$2.20 per way.
Then went around Tsim Sha Tsui.. stopped by a masjid and when I found a Bangladeshi. "Filipinos?" he asked when we shake hands.
"Malaysia" I replied.
"Ada baik? bagus?" he then asked me.. hehe.
Found out that this feller used to work in Penang. We chit chat after Asar Solah, while waiting for the rain to subsides. Macam2 ada.. cerita pasal PakLah... Anwar... Islam dan lain2.
Off I go then to look for a beg and after almost 2 hours searching for it, and going into and out of rain I gave up. It's actually an old model kind of beg.. hard case box with wheels. Never mind...
To Chungking Mansion next!! makan time before I head back. By the time I reached the mansion I'm almost 50% wet.. hehe. Found this Indian Pakistan restaurant with a Chinese guy
waiting at the door. Cool... Hindi bryani.. that's what I'll have.
There I met with this Arab guy... he was talking to this Indian guy.. the waiter there. I overheard the conversation and end up joining it.
It seems that this Arab guy is stranded in Hongkong while doing business here with his family being in Shenzen due to visa problem.. poor guy.
Here we are 3 people in the restaurant (1 malay, 1 indian and 1 arab, all muslims) talking about muslims and what's happening to to muslims in the world now... He blamed his govt, Saudi being non Islamic in certain sense as they're being held under US' fingers...and that everything can be bought with money even muslim's pride... we talked about Osama Bin Laden.. and the terrorist attack accused by western media the doing of muslim jihadist around the world which obviously something non-islamic to do. As we're talking, I then noticed a Mat Salleh lady sitting in the corner ordering food with an uneasy look in her face showing, oopppsss, I guess I'm in the wrong place... :) We had a good chat though. In the end, we all got into a conclusion that being a muslim is not just being one and having it written in our ID. Practicing Islam is the most important thing to do... and being muslim brothers to help each other out. He did ask the Indian guy to come and work for him in Saudi saying that he will treat him well there as brothers of Islam..
That's it, time to run back in the rain and catch the next shuttle bus to the train station back to the airport empty handed.. hehe.
Before I settle down and call in the day.. there's 1 more thing I haven't accomplished. To buy KrispyKreme Doughnuts and import it into Malaysia.. hehe. Went to 2 outlets, in terminal1 and 2 to get the right amount and the right flavour that my client ordered back in KL... hehe.
that's it... time to sleep.... tomorrow will be another episode of my life... and ours...

FEVER

I'm in Hongkong right now sitting in my room writing this and listening to Kylie Minoque's album in my MP3 player when this song came out.... FEVER... layan plak lagu ni.. maklumlah lama dah tak dengar. Then, i looked myself in the mirror.. damn!! mata merah dowh..!! patutlah dah pukul 2.13am.. hehe.... tak perasan plak...
let see.. why do I have red eyes tonight?
woke up early today.. mowed the lawn sampai minyak mesin tu abis... then did some drilling around the house, fixed the shoe rack and the shelf.. then rest a bit... (a few minutes only) and as i almost fell asleep it's time to go to work.... packed all my stuffs in a zap and I'm on my way to fly to Hongkong. Reached here at 11pm... fell asleep.... and woke up at 12midnight feeling hungry... went out but all the shops are closed except for 7-11 of course... grabbed a sandwich and a drink... went back to the room at 1am... makan.. tgk tv sikit... and here I am ended up with red eyes not yet asleep... when I'm supposed to be getting my beauty sleep instead.
Talking about "Beauty Sleep"...it is called that for a reason. As we doze we're actually getting more than just rest... our body is healing and repairing itself at the same time. But I think I'm having this "Sleep Disorder" problem. No matter how much I sleep I still feel tired.. probably my stress hormones are interfering with my sleep... and this probably happens due to lack of exercise!! Pergh!! and to tell you the truth... I am still adjusting myself to working at odd hours and sleep when other people are having their breakfast and lunch. I'll get used to it i guess...eventually.
And now I feel like I'm having the FEVER!! by Kylie Minoque.... :) Check out the lyrics.

I've been bitten by the bug and I am coming down with oh
Something that can't be cured
There aint a doctor in this town who is more qualified then you
Yeah to be so adored

So tell me what do you prescribe for these symptoms
A heart beating faster and work is a disaster
I'm lovesick when you're not around
Check me over
When strong hands are healing
I'm dancing on the ceiling

Chorus:
Fever sure has got me good
What you do when fever takes hold
I can't help but need this drug
Don't you feel the fever like I do?

Feel the fever

I am ready for the news so tell me straight
Hey doctor just what do you diagnose
There aint a surgeon like you any place in all the world
So now shall I remove my clothes?

So tell me what do you advise for these symptoms
A heart beating faster and work is a disaster
I'm lovesick when you're not around
Check me over
When strong hands are healing
I'm dancing on the ceiling

(Chorus 2x)

Tell me what do you prescribe for these symptoms
A heart beating faster and work is a disaster
I'm lovesick when you're not around
Check me over
When strong hands are healing
I'm dancing on the ceiling

(Chorus)

Feel the fever

well... I guess that's it for now... time to have my Beauty Sleep...
P/S:The video is sexy ke syg? Of course lah... kalau tak sexy bukanlah Kylie my dearest.. hehe

eee pc damn cool.. Linux vs. Windoze

huumm... lets talk about this "eee PC' from ASUS that I've got about 2 months ago.... I'd say that it is "Damn Cool". It comes with pre-installed Linux... an open source base on Xandros. I fall in love with it at first sight... small, handy, mobile and good enough for a traveler like me. Basically I use it just for communication, besides surfing the net, chatting, VoIP, do some document reading and using it as a middle appliance to my camera and stuffs.
It comes with a 7" screen and a 4G SSD.. with no hard drive though... build in web cam and mic.... wi-fi, Ethernet... and 3 usb slots which makes it weigh only 0.9KG.
Pre installed with a few handy software e.g: Skype, Pidgin Messenger,Mozilla Firefox, Open Office, Adobe Reader, Games and a whole lot of other application that comes in handy with its simple layout in an easy to use way. I guess it's the next best thing after Mac.
Well, since there has been a lot of review on it in the internet... you guys might just want to Google on it if you're interested to know more.

I'm In Colombo

I arrived in Colombo, Sri Lanka yesterday morning... when the hotel reception hand me a Security Directive circular... as there has been bombing in some areas in the city as we all know due to the so called freedom fighters the The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. When I opened the curtain to have a peek at the scenery this is what I found. Hum.. I guess we don't really see this often in a 5 star hotel.
Check points like this are something you'll never miss on your trip to Colombo... it is placed almost every 500 meters apart along the main roads in the city especially near hotels and government buildings.. too many of these you might not even notice the beautiful view of the seashores and historical buildings around.
Once I've gone out to town with a few friends to a place called 'Fashion House'.. a place so called selling clothings and textiles at a very good bargain compared to back home... I see it as a huge reject shop though. Did bought some things for my son there... and when we were there, I over heard news of another bomb attack near town. Is it worth risking your life for some cheap clothes?? I didn't join them the next day.
Be going back home to night...

The Pilot Entry

hello everybody.... have you ever think that life pass us by so fast... a minute we were just a kid and the next we're adults... married... became parents and busy with our work and paying our debts.. all that we used to see our parents doing when we were kids.
for me.. all these memories pass me by quite fast... maybe it's because we've always been thinking and planning for the future....
as we are sitting here right now... most of us are planning what to do next.... what to do tomorrow and the day after... writing it down in our diaries.. PDA.. computers.. and so on... so when the time comes it is considered done and is put into the past... the present is always a very short period as we are always thinking of the future in the present.
hehe.. what ever that is i was saying... i guess it's too complicated for us to really think about it.
as an intro for this blog.... I'll just let u guys know that I'll be writing things that i remembered that happens to me in the past... good memories that actually makes me the person i am today. There's a saying "A nation that forgets their history has no future".
